The Municipal Court is presided over by Judge David Erickson. The municipal judge has jurisdiction over all criminal violations of ordinances of the City of Rawlins. Fines do not exceed $750 for any one offense and imprisonment does not exceed six months.
Court is held every Monday at 10:00 am (excluding holidays) at City Hall, 521 West Cedar Street. Please check your ticket for your exact court date. If you have any questions, please call the City Municipal court clerk’s office at (307) 328-4535.
Your court date is set by the officer who gives you the citation. Only the Judge can change your court date. A written request and proper documentation are required for the judge to consider your request.
It is important that you come to court prepared, and follow proper court etiquette once you arrive. If you are under 18 years of age, you must bring a parent or legal guardian to court with you.
If your citation was issued by a Carbon County sheriff's deputy or a Wyoming Highway Patrol officer, you will need to attend court at the Carbon County Courthouse. Please call the Circuit Court clerk’s office at (307) 324-6655 to determine the correct date and time of your court appearance.
