The Rawlins Fire Department is a combination department ith an average mambership of 25. Due to our geographic location
and the various types of commerce that support out community, our Fire Department offers a wide variey of services.
Our goal is to provide a diverse training program that meets or exceeds the standards set forth by NFPA and OSHA.

The Rawlins Fire Department participates in the State of Wyoming Certifications programs that are administered by the
Fire Marshall's office and the Wyoming Division of Forstry. Our Department's training facilities include: classroom, smoke
house, drill tower, burn building, confined space vault, extrication pad and natural gas props.
The Department recieves hydrocarbon training from the Sinclair Refinery located six miles east of the City.
Airport Firefighter certification is provoded by the FAA approved Airport Rescue Firfightnig School in Casper, Wyoming.
The Wyoming Fire Academy in Riverton, Wyoming is also used for specilized training opportunities.
Cody Fire School is a yearly training offered in Cody Wyoming in May of each year.

Hazardous Materials Technician Certification is obtained from the State of Wyoming through the Wyoming Fire Academy
in Riverton, Wyoming. Officer Certification is obtained from the Natonal Fire Academy outreach classes across the state.
All training sponsored by the Rawlins Fire Department is made available to other Fire Departments within our community
and throughout the state. The Department trains on the second and forth Wednesday of each month. This training is
provided mainly by the Paid Staff who train each day on shift.
