The Rawlins Fire Department is a combination department with both paid and volunteer members that offers a full compliment of services to the community of Rawlins and surrounding area. Lead by a full time Fire Chief, the Department employs nine Engineers and seventeen volunteers and twelve recruit firefighter who are responsible for everything from emergency response to public education and service. The Department is actively involved in community programs including Fire Prevention, Public Education and Fire Safety inspections to name a few.

A Brief History... In 1886 a group of concerned citizens joined together to officially form the foundation for the Rawlins Fire Department.
