Station 1: Built in 1971 and located at 320 W Walnut ST is home to two first out engines, a reserve ladder truck, a wildland vehicle, a medium rescue unt and a hazmat response trailer. The station also serves as our headquarters for emergency response, administrative offices, sleeping quarters, staff meeting room, weight room and an equiptment maintenance area. Station 1 is manned 24/7 year round by the paid staff of the Rawlins Fire Department. |

Station 2: Built in 1981 and located at 501 E State ST was opened in 1984 to expand the fire service resonse to the southern side of Rawlins and the Wyoming State Penetetary. This station is home to one first our engine, our first out ladder truck, Command Trailer and Fire Safty House. This station supplies an office, sleeping quarters training center and our state of the art training grounds. Station 2 is also manned 24/7 by the paid staff of the Rawlins FIre Department. |

Training Center: Built in 2007 and located directly behind Station 2 at 501 1/2 E State ST is home to our training classroom and Building Departments Offices. This facility offers a Firefghter classroom for group training and meetings of the Volunteer Department. This classroom has greatly helped in the furthering of training of all fire personnel both pad and volunteer. On the Building Department side it supplies office space for the Code Enforcement and Building Department Officials. |

Training Tower: Built in 1999 and located at 403 E State ST on the training center grounds, it is a WHP Chef Model. It is designed with two burn rooms, one of which was updated in 2008, two ventilation knockouts on the roof section, a four story drill tower with anchors on the roof for high angle rescue evolutions. This building is shuttered throughout for smoke training and serves each year for the firefighter challenge. |

Pump Pit and Confined Space Vault: Located on the training center grounds this pump test pit is used yearly to test and certficatin of all fire apparatus. It is also available to other departents for pump testing. A recent expansion of the Confined Space Vault offers underground training and rescue operations. The Pit consistes of three tanks connected by 24 inch pipe sections, thus simulating a confined space. |

Smoke House: This 14' x 70' mbile home located at 499 E State ST on the training center grounds, serves as a non-toxic smoke training, search and rescue building. The fully furnished interior allows for a realistic yet very low risk environment for training senerios. |

| Natuaral Gas Props: Also located on the training center grounds are the newest addition to our training facility. These natural gas props feature a dumster for simulating a dumpster fire, a 200 gal propane tank for simulating a an LPG fire, a vehicle for simulating a car fire, two gas meters to simulate a gas meter fire or leak and a pipe trench to simulate a underground natual gas fire or leak. | ![]() |
